Portfolio Task 5

The pie charts show a survey of economy and business class of an airline in 2002 about the most popular in-flight consideration. The numbers indicate the percentage of male and female passengers.
For starters, the most popular consideration in the economy class is the space. For example the survey shows that 50% of males prefer space more than any other feature. As for the females the prefer service to movies, food and drinks or space. For instance, the survey shows that 45% of females prefer service and 9%, 21%, 23% prefer other feature respectively.
Now let’s turn our attention to business class, where the most popular consideration is also space. To clarify, the survey showed that both male and female passengers like the space more than movies, food and drinks or service and it’s accounted for 45% and 44% respectively.
All in all, in my opinion I think the most popular consideration is space because for you to relax and stretch you need more space.

Portfolio Task 4

Many people can be influenced by the media either in a good or bad way. In this essay, I’m going to outline some of the arguments about the statement.
For starters, many people agree that media has a big impact in their life. To illustrate, media provides entertainments for people who want to watch movies or listen to the world news. Another important reason is advertisements. For example, people advertise their products or ideas through the media because it’s the fast way to reach everybody.
Now let’s turn our attention to some people who disagree that media does not have an influence in their life or ideas. One factor is that they can learn from experiences. For instance, form their experiences they can learn and have knowledge, either it’s good or bad which has a big impact in their habit or behavior. Another factor is that the people in their life may have a stronger influence than media. To clarify, parents, teachers and friends can have big influences regarding behavior, religion and culture.
To sum up, in my opinion I think that both media and the people in your life can influence you either in positive or negative way.

Portfolio task 2

There are many people who move from one place to another seeking better opportunities. However those people will face some challenges in where they are staying. In this essay I will outline some of the difficulties and some solutions.
There are some several challenges. One challenge in particular is the weather. For example, people who are used to cold weather can’t live in a climate which is very hot and humid and also for those who are used to hot weather can’t adjust in the cold weather. Another difficulty worth mentioning is the culture. For instance, people come from different culture regarding the behavior, lifestyle, food and dress.
With respect to challenges let’s turn our attention to the solutions. One important solution to adapt to the weather is buying new cloths. To illustrate, if you are moving to a city where the climate is cold you should buy heavy clothes to keep you warm as for the hot climate you should buy light cloths. Another solution regarding the culture is to learn and ask other people. To clarify, if you decide to study abroad then you must learn about the culture by asking other people who have an experience about lifestyle, food and dress.
All in all, in my opinion moving to other countries have many benefits. However, I think the most difficult challenges is the culture and religion because you should learn and find a lot of information about the country before you decide to live there.
